Analysis Service

At Neighbour Noise Control (NNC), we provide a versatile Analysis Service designed to make noise nuisance monitoring easy and efficient for our clients. Whether you choose to rent or purchase our specialised Noise Nuisance Recorder, you gain full control over the measurement process, allowing you to manage the planning and stay in direct contact with tenants or residents. After a brief, in-depth training session from one of our expert advisors, you’ll be equipped to place the recorder in a nuisance situation, collect the data, and send it back to us for professional analysis.

We understand that reviewing and interpreting noise data can be complex. That’s why NNC, with years of experience in noise measurement, offers two types of analysis, Short and Extensive, to meet the specific needs of your case.

Short Analysis: Quick and Targeted Insight

The Short Analysis provides a fast yet effective review of the noise data. Once the files are sent to our team, our expert analysts will perform a brief examination in our acoustic lab. This analysis focuses primarily on noise events that exceed predefined thresholds. Any noise that falls below these standards will not be analysed further.

Key Features of the Short Analysis:

  • Quick analysis of only the highest noise events.
  • Filtering of non-nuisance noise to isolate disturbances.
  • Summary report highlighting significant noise violations, with recommendations for further investigation if needed.

The Short Analysis is ideal for cases where you need a rapid assessment of whether further in-depth analysis is necessary.

Extensive Analysis: In-Depth, Comprehensive Evaluation

For a deeper understanding of the noise disturbances, the Extensive Analysis offers a thorough examination of all data collected. Our analysts break down the recordings into 24-hour periods, analysing noise events within specific time frames, for example: daytime (07:00-19:00), evening (19:00-23:00), and nighttime (23:00-07:00). This will allow for a more precise understanding of when and how often nuisance noise occurs. The time frames may differ depending on the country/region.

Key Features of the Extensive Analysis:

  • Detailed review of noise events in 24-hour time frames.
  • Comprehensive filtering of irrelevant noise (including reverberations and ‘own’ sounds).
  • A detailed report outlining all significant disturbances across day, evening, and night periods.

The Extensive Analysis is perfect for complex cases requiring detailed evidence of noise patterns, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the disturbances.

Whether you need a quick snapshot or a detailed analysis, Neighbour Noise Control’s Analysis Service offers tailored solutions to help you resolve noise nuisance complaints with confidence.
